Boat trip, Maritime Museum, Columbus 360 Viewpoint and Wine tasting

Enjoy an afternoon small-group tour to the port of Barcelona to enjoy history and adventure at the same time. Through the many activities on schedule you will learn and experience all about gigantic galleys, dangerous pirates, world-shaping battles and fearless conquerors, the background of Philip the II the most powerful king of the known world.

Our trip will begin on the sea: a catamaran will tour you all along the port under the gentle sun of the early afternoon. About an hour of relaxing sailing facing Barcelona’s seafront and skyline will prepare you for what’s next.

Now it will be time to step back in history inside the venerable walls of the Royal Dockyards (13th to 17th Centuries). This amazing and massive building now harbours the Maritime Museum of the city, showing jewels such as a real scale reproduction of the Royal Galley (1568), the leading war ship in the Lepanto Battle. A guide from the museum will leave you speechless during the visit. Right after you will enjoy some extra time to take amazing pictures of the collection.

Outside the museum a 1919 paileboat totally restored to its original condition will be waiting docked at the port. A visit inside will bring back to life the heroism and hard living conditions of sailors from a century ago.

Our final destination will be the Christopher Columbus Monument, a 19th Century statue towering over a 60 meters pedestal. The viewpoint on top will offer 360º scenic images of Barcelona: the editerranean, the famous skyline, the Tibidabo Mountain, the Montjuic Castle, and, of course, Las Ramblas. In order to toast on the Tour of the Seas within this unique setting you will be treated into a cava or wine tasting combined with a “tapa”. The tour ends at this emblematic site at the bottom of Las Ramblas, in the middle of the touristic and gastronomic district, a perfect place to schedule your dinner.
