Classic: Old Town and Modernist Barcelona On our Classic-Tour we explore the most important sites of Barcelona in the mediaeval Barri Gotic (Gothic Quarter), the Art Nouveau neighbourhood Eixample, with its famous modernist buildings of Gaudi and the 1992s Olympic Village at the seaside and beach area.

Barcelona Night Tour When it gets dark Barcelona shows another side of its character. We glide past illuminated buildings, the still Mediterranean and lively meeting points, experiencing the magic of a city that never sleeps. A definite highlight, not to be missed, is the laser show on Plaza Espanya magic fountain, illuminated by hundreds of changing colours. After finishing this tour - why not join the locals having a late supper around 22:30pm

Barcelona Tapas Tour: Tapas are part of gastronomic culture in Spain. Hundreds of years of tradition allow us to discover some of the most delicious tit-bits. "Ir de tapas" (= going for  tapas) becomes a real culinary event as you move from one excellent Tapas Bar to the next. On this tour you will  not only experience the Tapas-Culture but will also taste some of the finest examples.

We know that highly motivated guides are the key to a successful and informative day out in town. That is why we care deeply about the selection of our guides and recruit only those people who posses a wealth of information about the area along with a passion for people, travel, culture and history.

All our guides are experienced cyclists with a good sense of humour and have a genuine interest in meeting people and sharing their knowledge and love of Barcelona.

Of course the guides will be delighted to give you any further information that you might require for your stay in Barcelona. Most of them have been living in town for many years and have amassed ample insider knowledge.

Every guide is sufficiently trained to solve minor technical problems en route and carries a few spare parts for emergencies.

The bike guides are multilingual and that's how we can provide, on request, tours in the following languages: English, German, French, Dutch, Italian, Russian, Spanish and Catalan.

Our bikes:

The comfort and security of our bikes are key factors influencing the type of bikes we offer our clients.
We provide lightweight and modern touring bikes with 21 gears (Shimano), front suspension and different frame sizes (male and female frame types available). These bikes are perfect for both, the classic tour around town and the more challenging rides involving hills. Smaller bikes for children are also available on request, please reserve in advance.

You will be pleasantly surprised by the intimate atmosphere our tours manage to produce. We limit group sizes to a maximum of 20 cyclists, ensuring not only safety, but also that our knowledge and information reaches all of our participants. All our guides live in Barcelona and are enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge of this fabulous city with you.

No hay prisa! Spain is known for a relaxed way of life. We take our time on the bike tours, beginning with a brief introduction on how to cycle in Barcelona and in a group. Later there will be several stops where explanations are given and you can take pictures. The routes are carefully chosen and consist mainly of, the afore mentioned, cycle lanes. We endeavour to keep you as far away from car traffic as is possible. A stop for a drink en route is always part of the excursion (included in price).

We aim to show off Barcelona, a city that we know and love, in an exciting as well as an active way, away from the crowds on the tourist buses or the metro. We want to bring you closer to the real Barcelona from the perspective of a cyclist.

BARCELONA BY BIKE Tours evolved after the growing popularity of bicycle use in the city was recognized by the local administration; thus more than 120km of cycle lanes have been built in the recent years. The major cultural event "Forum 2004" gave this development a huge push when principles of sustainable urban development were discussed, the use of alternative means of transport being one of them. Already host to a great network of cycle lanes, Barcelona will eventually have a network spanning more than 200km, converting the city into a Mediterranean heaven for cyclists.
