The Picasso Museum is located at Carrer Montcada 15-19, Barcelona and is a must-see for all those of you who appreciate art and architecture. On display are several collections that portray the works of the famous artist Pablo Picasso as well as other art related exhibitions. If you happen to visit the museum on the first Sunday of the month, you can enter absolutely free.

2.   The Maritime Museum of Barcelona
 
Located at Av. De les Dressanes, the Maritime Museum of Barcelona is every bit imaginative and interesting, representing the maritime history of this wonderful city. Here you will find on display paintings, model ships and figureheads etc. The interactive exhibitions are also worth a watch!

3.   Museum of the History of Catalonia
 
This museum was opened in 1996 in Palau de Mar in Barcelona. As you walk through the museum, you will get acquainted with the history of Catalonia and its ancient monuments etc.
 
Museum opens: Tuesday to Saturday - 10am - 2pm & 4pm - 8pm and on Sunday & other holidays - 10am - 2pm.
 
4.   The Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art
 
Also known as the MACBA, this museum is housed in a beautiful white building, situated in Plaça dels Àngels, in El Raval, Ciutat Vella. Here you will find collections that focus on post-1945 Catalan and Spanish art.
 
5.   National Museum of Art of Catalonia
 
Visit to the National Museum of Art of Catalonia, at Palau Nacional. Parc de Montjuïc, will inspire you with its rich wall paintings as well as beautiful collections of Romanesque art, Gothic art, Renaissance and Baroque art, etc.
Museum opens: Sunday & holidays: 10am - 2:30pm; Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday: 10am - 7pm; Thursday: 10am - 9pm.
 
6.   Gaudí Casa-Museu
 
Located at Parc Güell, the Gaudí Casa-Museu is the house in which the famous architect Gaudí lived. If you want to know more about the great Gaudí, this pink museum is definitely worth a visit! On display are portraits, decorations and Gaudí-designed furniture etc.
 
Museum opens: May-September - daily – 10am to 8pm and October-February – daily – 10am to 6pm; March-April - daily – 10am – 7pm.
 
7.   Miro Museum – Barcelona
 
The Joan Miro Foundation is a famous museum of Barcelona. Situated at Parc de Montjuïc, the museum is housed in a beautiful building among scenic beauty. Visit to this museum will enlighten you with the works of Miró.  
 
8.   Science Museum of Barcelona
